Video editing and color

Video editors and colorists who turn raw footage into something people watch

Most of a video is made in the edit. A good editor finds the story, sets the pace and delivers every version you need; a colorist makes shots from different cameras and days look like one film. On Lens you can find editors, colorists and sound mixers, compare their reels and add them to a crew.

Questions people ask

Editor, colorist or both?

Many editors handle basic color and sound. For multi-camera shoots, ads or anything shown on a big screen, a dedicated colorist and sound mixer are worth adding.

Can an editor work remotely?

Yes. Most editing and color work is remote. Agree on how files are shared and how feedback is given, with timecodes, before the first cut.
